How Scan & Target works

The Scan & Target filtering solution operates mainly in SaaS mode. It is easily implemented via a connector in all environments (PHP, .Net, Java, Ruby, etc.) with text contents.

For large customers or law enforcement/homeland security agencies, Scan & Target solutions can be deployed on the customer’s premises.

The solution is available for any language using Latin characters, Arabic and Japanese and for any type of network (internet and mobile ). The Scan & Target platform can handle very large volumes of several thousands objects per second.

Unlike solutions based on simple keywords, Scan & Target technology takes into account the different alterations to and variants of expressions (e.g. V1@g.rA for Viagra) and analyzes the language level (common, vulgar, SMS style, etc.). The proportion of positive errors generated is very low (less than 0.05%), which means that the relevance of a detected word is very high.

The solution is based on detailed thematic thesauruses. Filters are categorized to allow customers to fine-tune and personalize their analysis.

The Scan & Target solution is based on a system that rates not just single words but the entire content as its passes through the filtering engine. Words are therefore placed in context.

A rating is assigned in line with the filtering purpose (moderating, advertising targets, etc.) and specific service criteria. These criteria can change at any time.
