Surveillance of SMS Communications

A law enforcement agency (LEA) has put in place a mass interception system for SMS to fight against crime and terrorism. Every day more than 10 millions SMS are intercepted and stored in a central database where agents can make queries and investigations.

Due to the sheer volume of data to be analyzed and the variety of languages used, traditional search engines couldn’t help agents identify potential litigious messages.

Scan Surveillance analyzed on a daily basis the 10 millions SMS, identified and categorized the potential litigious messages for the agents’ investigation with less than 0,005% false positive.
